MileMarkers exists to help foster youth build independence, confidence, and a strong foundation for adulthood. Our supporters make that possible, and we take that responsibility seriously. Every donor deserves respect, transparency, and confidence that their generosity is used with care.

We proudly uphold the following Donor Bill of Rights:

As a donor, you have the right to:

  1. Know your gift is used for its intended purpose.
    Funds will support MileMarkers programs and services, and we will honor donor designations whenever possible.

  2. Receive clear and honest information.
    You will have access to accurate financial statements, program reports, and organizational updates.

  3. Be treated with respect and appreciation.
    Your kindness matters, and you will be acknowledged in a timely and sincere manner.

  4. Choose how your information is used.
    Your privacy is important. You can opt out of communications or choose to give anonymously.

  5. Expect transparency in leadership.
    You may inquire about our mission, budget, board members, and how funds are managed.

  6. Receive prompt answers to your questions.
    We welcome inquiries and will respond openly and courteously.

  7. Have your personal information protected.
    We do not sell or share donor information. Any data shared with service providers is secured for nonprofit operations only.

  8. Know if representatives are volunteers or staff.
    You have the right to understand who is communicating with you on behalf of MileMarkers.

  9. Receive acknowledgment and tax documentation.
    We will provide receipts suitable for your records and tax purposes.

  10. Give without pressure or harassment.
    Your decision to support MileMarkers is yours alone. We do not believe in pushy fundraising.
