About Us – MileMarkers NPO Inc
Empowering Texas Foster Youth to Achieve Independence
At MileMarkers, we are committed to empowering Texas foster youth ages 16–21 to gain the skills, resources, and confidence they need to transition successfully into adulthood. Many teens aging out of foster care face unique challenges, and one of the most critical barriers is transportation.
Through foster youth driver’s education, free driving school for foster kids, car ownership assistance, vehicle and insurance help, and life skills training, we help teens take meaningful steps toward independence.
Why Our Work is Essential
Often times foster youth have little to no access to driving lessons and road training or support to secure a car with insurance. Daily responsibilities such as attending work, school, or appointments may become overwhelming. At Mile Markers we provide car ownership assistance and tailored independence programs for foster teens. We support them so they have the tools needed to pursue education, employment and community engagement while building life skills necessary for long term success.

Driver Education
We cover driver’s ed costs so youth can earn their license.
Vehicle Access
We partner with dealerships to provide reliable cars.
Insurance Assistance
We help cover the first year of insurance so independence doesn’t come with impossible costs.
Personal Growth
From budgeting, to car maintenance, we prepare youth for the road ahead.
